It's raining here, too - had to walk to Floofy's music class in it, but it's not that cold and I have this epic long black jacket that's all waterproof and thick enough to keep me warm in snow. So I enjoyed the weather. XD

I spent the past two days at church - Friday afternoon to this Sunday morning. It was so much fun! =D The youth group (eleven of us + a few adults) did this "30 Hour Famine" thing. We brought $30 each for a program for struggling teens somewhere in West Virginia, we and consumed nothing but water and the occasional glass of juice or Popsicles (so yeah, we cheated... XD). To give us a tiny little idea of what way too many people live with all the time. But we went on a photo-scavenger hunt all over town on Friday night, and the next day we served the weekly free breakfast to the general public and painted wooden crosses and went bowling; and then we took showers and hung out downstairs at church, and then we went upstairs for Communion and then we ate at midnight. =D And then we went to bed and got up at seven this morning. X3
It says something about a church when you feel just as at home there as you do in your own house. I love my little service-focused church of bleeding-heart liberals. XD

I cooked some meatballs that I found in the fridge for dinner for my brother and I today. They tasted like feet. It was very gross... So we ate candy for dinner instead. I felt kinda bad, but oh well. xD I'll cook him a real dinner tomorrow. I really don't like it when both my parents leave and I'm put in charge of my brother... He never listens to me anyways. xD Mah mommy will be back Thursday and my daddy Sunday. ^^ |

Thank goodness my boys can feed themselves - all but Ryan anyhow. XD
Anyhow. I keep being struck by how nice a place my city is. I'm looking out my living room window at our cul-de-sac, and everything looks bluish in the evening light; except the southern horizon. It's tinted purple, but also pale yellow behind the blue. The palm trees across the street and the flag at our open front gate are waving in the breeze, and it's all so peaceful and beautiful I don't think there's a nicer place on earth. X3

I agree Fia. Very much. I love my city during Spring, or Summer, or Autumn... So pretty... *sighs happily* I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
I feel like such a manipulative leader. I'm Block Manager in my World Studies class, meaning that I'm the leader for the entire class of 50 people, and so tomorrow I'm bringing cookies for the entire class in order to increase team morale and make sure that they realize that good work = praise/prizes. *shakes head with a chuckle* Funny how things like food will make a class obey you so easily...

Me neither! Isn't our general part of California just awesome? =D And Saphire, you just lead naturally. Honestly, anyone who can command 50 kids just like that (and who can give the future-President orders and expect them to be followed regardless of anything) has serious leadership skills. XD You gotta run for governor once you're over eighteen...
My fact is that two good colleges have officially accepted me so far, and I'm waaay happy about that. Freaked out, but happy! One of them happens to be just one hour from Napa. The other is twenty minutes from my house. XD
