Name: Woodpelt
Prefix Meaning: He was named 'Wood' (for he was born a loner) for the swirl marking on his forehead, which resembles a pattern on a piece of wood.
Suffix Meaning: He was given the name Woodpelt because his tabby markings are the most immediately noticeable thing about him.
Age: 17 moons
Rank: Warrior
Gender: Tom
Clan: MoonClan
Description: Woodpelt is a rather small tabby cat. He's young, and he'll grow a bit more, but he'll always be on the small side for a tom-cat. Despite his size, Woodpelt has a good amount of stamina, capable of fighting or travelling for respectable amounts of time; yet in battle, he uses his light frame to his advantage, giving him a good combination of speed and strength. This isn't as great as it might sound, however, since he uses both and isn't especially talented at either.
The young warrior's fur, short and smooth, is a soft shade of orange. Thus far, very few, very faint scars mar his sleek pelt. Instead, his body is covered tabby markings that are just a few shades darker than their pale background. A 'swirl' of a noticeably deeper shade on his forehead, like a pattern on a piece of wood, gives him his name. His tail is patterned with rings of the same color.
Woodpelt's eyes are deep, clear blue, like the midnight sky, rather than the amber or green one might expect of a cat his color. They present a rather startling contrast to his light-colored pelt. Despite their distinct color, Woodpelt's eyes are usually soft and friendly, full of warmth and characteristic gentleness. A kindly twinkle is nearly always present in them, completing his appearance of overall softness.
Personality: Friendly and good-natured, Woodpelt is a very easy cat to get along with - at least, once he overcomes his initial shyness around strangers. He's a naturally quiet tom, and very observant. He isn't one to strike up a conversation simply for the sake of talking, but he's far too polite to ignore a greeting directed at him. Still, he prefers to keep his mouth shut and simply watch and listen, making only necessary or helpful contributions whenever possible. Over time, he has learned to disguise his shyness, so as not to display any weakness before cats of other Clans, and merely appear to be an exceptionally quiet warrior.
A pacifist at heart, Woodpelt is a cat who will strive to keep the peace, no matter what the circumstances. He prefers diplomacy to force, believing that the first option in resolving conflict should always be to talk the matter over. After all, he reasons, cats die in battle. Talking doesn't hurt anybody. Wise beyond his age, Woodpelt is a great listener and fine advisor. This intelligent tom-cat thinks every decision through, and has a very good attention span and an equally fine memory. He also possesses an infinite amount of patience, and it has served him well throughtout his life. He has an almost non-existent temper, rarely growing angry enough to let it flare beyond bristling fur, unsheathed claws, and flashing blue eyes.
Woodpelt is a very down-to-earth cat, not especially ambitious, just happy to do his best to serve his Clan. Remarkably mature, he lacks the overconfidence and inflated ego that characterize many young toms; in fact, though it doesn't show, his self-confidence is only just starting to build to any substantial level. All his life, he has been easily wounded by harshness and barbed comments, intentional or otherwise, being a very sensitive young cat. His self-esteem has always been easily bruised and slow to rebuild itself. Fortunately, support from his friends and a sense of belonging in his Clan has done much to give him the confidence of a warrior. Woodpelt isn't a natural leader by any standards, still shy enough to be uncomfortable with telling others what to do, but he's learning -slowly- to step up and take charge if the situation should call for it.
Loyal to the core, Woodpelt is fully committed to his duty to his Clan. His devotion can never be questioned - to MoonClan, to the warrior code, to his friends; especially his oldest, dearest friends, Lightningheart and Doveflight. His world simply revolves around the two she-cats. A threat to his friends is virtually the only thing that will push Woodpelt past mild irritation and straight to deadly fury. He has a zero-tolerance policy, so to speak, when it comes to the well-being of his loved ones- say a word against them, even something basically harmless, and you're an automatic threat. Woodpelt will violate his own non-aggressive policies in defense of his friends, despite the fact that they are fully capable of looking out for themselves.
Being a naturally kindhearted cat, Woodpelt willing to jump in and help anyone who needs it; much like a medicine cat, he is simply unable to bear watching any cat suffer. Despite being a young tom-cat, he is a wonderful listener for any cat who needs to share their troubles with him, though if he doesn't know said cat very well, his initial response tends to be one of awkward helplessness. Still, he makes a very supportive figure for suffering cats and, with young apprentices and kits, something between a big brother and fatherly figure, despite his own youth.
History: Born and raised, an only kit, at the edge of the woods, little loner Wood had never heard of the Clans. That is, until his adventurous friend Lightning mentioned/began-obsessing-over them. Frankly, he believed she was half-insane and simply ignored her ramblings about joining one- until she informed him that she was going with or without him. And he couldn't bear to be left behind. So without much choice, he went along. Being caught by a MoonClan patrol was certainly scary, but being accepted into the Clan as apprentices in the end was more than worth it. As a MoonClan cat, Woodpaw spent his days training diligently and spending more time than he would like getting Lightningpaw and their new friend Dovepaw out of trouble.
Now, together with his two friends, he has risen to the rank of warrior, taking on the name Woodpelt. He and Lightningheart are as close as ever- the two may as well be siblings. Besides his 'sister', Woodpelt's dearest friend is Doveflight, Dragonstar's daughter. And, having made a shocking discovery along with her, he has sworn to utter silence on the matter, and so carries the terrible burden of keeping the truth from even his oldest friend...

“Lightningheart!” Struggling, and failing, to keep up with the swift-pawed warrior as she raced away through the forest, Woodpelt muttered threats, insults, and curses as he followed, stopping only when he was out of breath. When he had finally fallen so far behind that he couldn’t hear the she-cat’s paw steps, he gave up and slowed down, continuing at his own pace. You’d think, he mused, that after growing up with that cat, I’d have learned by now that I’ll never be able to keep up with her.
Dismissing the thought, Woodpelt slowed to a walk, padding slowly through the forest to enjoy the crisp evening air and the fading light that lit up the forest with leaf-fall’s reds and golds. Pausing in a pool of amber sunlight, the pale orange cat lifted his muzzle to the breeze, closing his eyes and purring softly as he caught the musky scents of the season. Leaf-fall, he thought contentedly, was by far his favorite. Opening his jaws slightly, he took another deep breath.
Then his eyes flew open, orbs of blue fire, and scanned the forest around him. Still as stone, the ginger warrior sniffed carefully at the air, ears pricked for the slightest sound; the left one twitched at a sudden rustling sound. Woodpelt narrowed his eyes, concentrating. There it was again! Teeth bared in a silent snarl, he twisted around and dropped into a battle crouch, eyes flashing dangerously at the bushes not two fox-lengths from his nose...

Your bio has been ACCEPTED and will soon be moved to the acceptance board. I will let you share role play example with another cat this once, but in the future you have to create separate examples.

*mildly startled* I'm sorry. I didn't realize I needed one for each character. The sites I've been on only need it for the first. If it's a problem, I can write a sample for Woodpaw as well...?
