*nods* Very helpful, Blitzy. I think part of the problem is that people try to come up with super fancy names and sort of overlook all the more basic words. X3 I will post suggestions here shortly!
*coughs* Now people, let's just keep in mind that NOT all names are acceptable. We will have no Bladeclaws, Oceantails, Northwhiskers (built-in compass!), Bloodclaws ("I name you Bloodkit, child! May you grow up to be bloodthirsty and evil!), Hopekits, Bravepaws, Starblazes ("Now he's leader, let's call him Starstar!") or Penguinpelts. We allow stuff like Twinklefire and Dragonstar and Eclipsedstar, but let's not go overboard, alright? Let's try to be fairly reasonable. I don't care if the Erins have a freaking Bumbleflight (sounds clumsy, no?). Please! Coolness does not count as much as matching the name with the cat. *pokes her own Woodpelt* See? Boring name, but suits the epic cat. X3 In fact, I need to fix that link to to that incredible naming guide that explains everything so well...
But thank you Blitzy, good idea! If I didn't have so many zillions of names in my head already, I'd use this very often. X3

*laughs uneasily* Ummm, did I mention the hoard of names I keep stashed away in places?
A bunch of my favorites include Thundercloud, Silvershimmer, Rubycloud, Lightningstride, Shadowstrike, Windfire, Mistfall, Featherbird, Raventail, Vultureclaw, Duskfire, Graystorm, Sighingwind, Morningsky, Dapplefur, Brushfire, Skycloud, Breezestride, Seabreeze, Gustwind, Poppyflower, Crowpelt, Ravenfeather, Foxpelt, Tawnywing, Fireshadow, Polarglare, Needleclaw, Whitefoot, Shadeleg, Rainstream, Rushclaw, Bluestone, Tigershadow, Minnowstream....*promptly stops reading list*
Yeah. That should get your creativity going. Basically, some good prefixes are;
Thunder, Silver, Ruby, Lightning, Shadow, Wind, Mist, Feather, Raven, Vulture, Dusk, Gray, Morning, Dapple, Brush, Breeze, Sea, Gust, Poppy, Crow, Fox, Tawny, Fire, Polar, Needle, White, Shade, Rain, Rush, Blue, Tiger, Minnow, Thistle, Robin, Bird, Life, Fish, etc.
And just to get it out there, one of my particular favorites is Pulsebeat. Sounds like dancing xD

*shakes head violently* I would not accept a bio with the name Ruby or Sea. Gemstones are Twoleg things and 'sea' is Sun-Drown Place. But that's all.

Awesome! But maybe not add the ones that are already taken/reserved, yes? (Lightning, Silver, etc.) Or add them, but with a strike-out line through them, maybe. Up to you, Blitzy, either way works, I think.

Awesome! But many of them have other possibilities as well... like, Amber or Orange could be for fur as well as eyes... Light or Bright could work for any pale/bright colored cat, not just white... Birch would be good for silver cats... Dusk could be gray... Herons are silver... Soot and Ebony are pure black... may I add in other possibilities?

I don't think the Q's would work, as well as the Viper, but the others would. I still have tons of suggestions I just don't feel like putting them in yet.

*shakes head* No, Quail is alright. It would work fine. And if we can have a Couger, we can have a Viper. Besides, things like Flutter and Flicker are in there, and they don't make any sense at all, for cat names.
*sighs irritably* It's official. The more boring the name, the better. Ugh. Curse Erin Hunter and her Hollows and Bumbles and Briarlights and StarClan only knows what else! *snarls in disgust at authors with outrageous names* I'm surprised they don't have a Butterflywing yet!

Go ahead and add the other possibilities. I only did the few that came to me first. It was just only suggestions.
