Name: Flames
Prefix Meaning: His sister gave him the name because she thought cool things like fire and flames would fit her cool brother. Also, his eyes have a orange/yellow color which look like little flames.
Suffix Meaning: None (Loner)
Age: 18 Moons
Rank: Loner
Clan: Loner
Description:
The one sad but true factor that Flames always emphasizes is his looks. Most of the things he blabbers about (including how he is the best out of everyone) is just usually his own imagination, but when it comes to his description, he is always correct. His body is lean but not small. In fact, he has muscle bulging under his fur, something he is very proud of. He actually works out to achieve such handsome features, and most she-cats notice that as soon as they meet him. His legs are strong and sturdy, capable of jumping far distances or running quickly. Even though he is fast, speed is not his strong point, because of all his bulk weighing him down.
That being said, his paws are abnormally large. They pack a mean punch, and his claws are always sharpened in case an enemy is lurking nearby. His ears are perfect triangles set on top of his well shaped face, and his whiskers are pure black which sprout from a black nose. His eyes are most obviously his most prominent feature. They do very much look like there are flames dancing in his eyes, not only because of their shimmering color, but also because of the feelings that are usually portrayed there. The color of Flames orbs are a deep orange-gold color which is speckled by a royal yellow that look like gold flecks.
His pelt is pitch black, the kind of black that almost looks blue in very strong sunlight. It isn't sleek and glossy as most cats would thing, but instead it almost looks like coal from a fire pit. His fur is soft and sometimes a bit fluffy, perfect to burry your nose into or snuggle in for warmth. One of his weaknesses however, is how warm it gets during the summer. Sure, the raven black pelt retains heat wonderfully, but it isn't as good at letting it out. Therefore Flames often grooms himself during the summer days just so that his pelt and skin underneath can breathe a bit.
Personality:
Superiority is obviously measured in how many she-cats you've managed to swoon or how many scars liter your pelt. Naturally things like muscles or handsome blazing eyes also add plus points to ones power and might. Flames is, according to this ingenious measurement of power, an almighty god. There is no denying it, because he is the best and it will forever be that way. Cats bow down and part in front of him as he treads forward, and they wish that they could know him. Others want to be him. Flames. The coolest and overall most epic cat that has ever walked the forest.
Well... Not really. Sure, in Flame's mind he is the best, but more than often other cats with any good sense will just sneer at him and leave. If you knew him even a little bit more than just an acquaintance, you would know that he is not a good cat at heart. He only thinks of himself and his own gain, and he truly has never done anything to help anyone else. In his mind, he thinks that letting she-cat drool over him is a very generous gift to society. He has yet to learn the meaning of respect and patience, and Flames does not have much tolerance for other cat's feelings either. Most could say that he is just oblivious to what emotions cats display around him, but this tom knows very well what others feel. He just chooses to ignore it unless it has to do with attraction or the urge to pick a fight. He will never turn down a fight.
One of Flame's most prominent and most valued skills is how manipulative he can be. He can sweet talk himself out of (or into) any situation, no matter how severe it is. It is this factor that has led him to be so confident of himself (in other words, cocky) because he believes that he can achieve anything. The rather sad and scary thing is that he's probably right. If there's a pretty she-cat, Flames will talk his way into her heart in a matter of a short conversation, and the next morning he'll leave her heart broken with just a name to add to his list of "accomplished" she-cats. Feelings are just like a game to him.
Sure, deep inside there is a small glimmer of compassion and kindness, but it's buried deep inside. The one occasion it might appear is if he sees a cat in pain or in trouble. And also the occasional offspring (or "lovable pests" as he calls them) can open that stone cold heart of his. Granted though, his main thoughts on saving someone is just so that he can seem more epic than he already is. Saving she-cats from sudden death is one of his favorite tactics to steal their hearts, because all the hard work is practically done already. He just needs to add a couple of words and then there you go!
History:
Flames was both born and raised for a short period in a metal box. At least that's all he remembers of it. A metal box with metal sticks that blocked his view to the very bright white room where humans would filter in and out with various felines. He doesn't even remember his mother; all he knows from his neighbors is that she was taken away as soon as he had been born. He only had his sister for company in that small metal cage that soon grew too small for both of them. They had a bed in there, and two bowls with stale water and hard pellet things that tasted like cardboard. And a box with sand in it that they did their "business" in.
Neither of them had any assigned names, so they decided to name each other. His sister named him "Flames" because she had heard one of the cats in the cage next to her talk about this thing called Fire and flames and she thought that they sounded so cool and awe-grasping, just like her brother. Flames, being less inventive and not as interested in giving his sister a cool name, decided upon calling her Whiskers. Even though the name was far less cool than his name (sometimes he even approved of it being that way), his sister still adored what he called her and she never once complained about his lack of affection towards her.
One day a small family of pesky humans came in and stood in front of their metal box, making cooing sounds and happy noises. At first Flames and Whiskers thought nothing of it, but suddenly they were ripped from their tiny home and put in two cardboard boxes with tiny holes in them. (very strange) It wasn't until he noticed that the cover of said box was loose that he realized that he had a golden opportunity in front of him. Pushing himself out, he looked around at the deserted room and quickly popped out. He heard his sister begging to be let loose, so that she could come too. Flames stared at the box his sister was in, ignored her pleas of help, and then ran out the door and into the forest beyond.
He never regretted leaving his sister there; he didn't actually care much about her anyways. He was way better than her, and he couldn't be seen wandering around with a stupid little sister all the time. Soon enough he met a tom, a lot older than his mere age of four months. This tom, known as Comet, taught Flames everything he ever knew. In other words, Comet was the worst cat imaginable. Not only did he teach Flames how to disrespect she-cats and how to play with their hearts, but he also taught him to never show compassion for another being because no one was worthy of being as good as you or even demanding your attention. Flames looked up to Comet as a kit would to a father, but it wasn't before long that they had to part because of their clashing narcissistic personalities.
Since then he has traveled the forests and cities, laying claim to whatever she-cat he wants and doing whatever he prefers. His impressive (well, impressive for him. Sad for others) list of "accomplishments" include Flower, Princess, Leaf, Amelia, Nya, Flickertail, Tori, Willow, and others. He has gained many children on his travels, but has never bothered visiting or caring about them. He thinks of them as living, breathing trophies of his accomplishments. It isn't until recently that he has stumbled upon the forest with the five clans. And so far it looks as though he's going to stay a while.
