Noted, Significant Misconceptions:
(Again, merely for the sake of avoiding confusion. Could be things that people have said, or evidence of misconceptions that I have gathered from bios (past and present), etc.)
Myth: MoonClan is descended from ThunderClan.
Fact: MoonClan is descended from RiverClan, despite the fact that it no longer holds any fondness for water. SunClan is descended from ThunderClan, though it is no longer an especially 'pacifist' Clan. Not war-happy, but not Firestar-level soft.

Myth: NightClan and DayClan despise each other.
Fact: NightClan and MoonClan detest each other. DayClan and SunClan hate each other's guts.

Myth: NightClan warriors are naturally quick-tempered.
Fact: NightClan cats are more likely to be reasonable and dignified. SunClan cats are far more likely have fiery tempers than cats of any other Clan. (Do not use Soundstar as an example off of which to create a SunClan cat; he is unnaturally relaxed for a cat of his Clan.)

Myth: SunClan cats are small and lean.
Fact: SunClan cats are big and strong, with exceptionally deft movements. DayClan cats are small and fast, with exceptional agility. (Note that there are exceptions to this, but in general, it's the way these Clans are.)

Myth: DeathClan operates like the other Clans, and has hostile patrols and an apprentice-mentor system.
Fact: DeathClan has none of the customs or systems of the true Clans. It is merely a group of cats who live together under the command of a leader, who typically rules through fear rather than respect. In general, its members are not particularly attached to each other, and there is no real sense of community.

Myth: MoonClan cats, being descended from RiverClan, are good swimmers.
Fact: MoonClan cats hate water just as much as any Clan. We do not have water-loving Clan on Silver Warriors. (Sorry, RiverClan fans!)

Myth: Most MoonClanners have pale pelts.
Fact: Dark gray, brown, and ginger are common colors in MoonClan, which helps provide camoflauge in their forest home. White is rather unusual. It is true that Moonstar had a silver pelt, but it is not a typical characteristic of his Clan. Light pelts are the norm in DayClan, in its home of pale golden grass.

Myth: There's plenty of light in NightClan's territory.
Fact: There's very little light in NightClan's territory -the thick forest keeps them perpetually in deep shade, and the Black Trees are exactly what they sound like - just barely safe to navigate with feline eyesight. The outskirts of the woods do get some dappled light on the forest floor, but that's about it.
