Description: Phoenixpaw's most striking feature is her bright orange pelt, which often reminds others of fire when the sun hits her just right. Her pelt has many different shades of orange, but not entirely in a set pattern. Her pelt pattern most resembles a calico cat, but her coloring is different. Her muscles are well-toned without being super obvious, mainly due to her tendency to jump into the trees. Her pelt is of medium length, not short but not long. Long enough to keep her relatively warm in leaf-bare, but short enough to keep her from burning up in greenleaf.
The next thing one notices is Phoenixpaw's striking eyes. They glimmer with a redness of sunset, with flecks of gold like clouds at the same time. They often shimmer with a mix of intelligence, determination, and curiosity. The red-gold eyes sometimes daze an outsider or young kit. Phoenixpaw's pelt is not marred by scars or other marks. Her nose is more sensitive than the normal six-moon-old she-cat, but not by much.
Personality: Phoenixpaw is a typical apprentice in many ways. She is energetic and eager to learn. She is loyal to her clan and her mentor, as well as her leader. She respects her elders, both in rank and in age. She also likes to find time to play with the older kits, at least three moons old so she doesn't have to worry too much about hurting them.
However, Phoenixpaw is also her own she-cat. She preffers high vantage points to being on the ground. Often, she will vanish from camp, only to be found asleep in a tree branch above it. That particular habit does annoy her clanmates from time to time, but Phoenixpaw only does it because she knows it's not considered out of camp. She also doesn't like to leave camp alone, or when she's not supposed to. She is a bit of a goody-goody, but she's a good friend.
Phoenixpaw is loyal and honest. She is a true friend who will be there to listen whenever you need to talk. She is supportive without being pushy. She is curious about the other clans, but knows better than to ask about Nightclan.
History: Phoenixpaw was born in mid-greenleaf to Blazestripe and Raindance. Blazestripe, her father, looked much like his daughter; bright orange pelt in a calico pattern and red-orange eyes. Raindance, Phoenixkit's mother, was a light grey she-cat with bright blue eyes that had gold flecks in them. Her parents were on the elderly side, Phoenixkit being part of their second successful litter. Their first litter miscarried in mid-leaf-bare, due to bad food.
Phoenixkit had two siblings, both she-kits as well. The largest of the three was named Flarekit for her solid orange pelt. The smallest she-kit was named Earthkit for her dark brown pelt. Raindance's mother had also had a brown pelt.
The three kits grew up quickly, becoming more adventurous by the sun. They wandered farther and farther from the nursery, even going into the trees from time to time. Phoenixkit was the best of the three at getting into the trees and remaining undetected. Earthkit was, like most small kits, quicker than her littermates. Earthkit was also able to remain undetected in shadows, which was harder to do for the other two. Flarekit was like Phoenixkit, they both hid well in trees. Phoenixkit was better though, simply because she was smaller than Flarekit.
When they were three moons old, the littermates had a competition to see who could get up highest into a tree. Earthkit knew that she wouldn't win, so she stayed on the ground and watched. Phoenixkit knew she would get higher because she was lighter than Flarekit. However, there had been a storm the night before, weakening the boughs. They snapped under the weight of the kits. Phoenixkit managed to land on her paws. Flarekit wasn't so lucky. Flarekit fell and broke one rear and one fore leg. She caught a fever and died a few sunrises later. Phoenixpaw still feels responsible for it, but she doesn't show it.
Earthkit had a habit of hiding in holes. Mainly under trees and bushes. One day, when the pair were four moon old, Earthkit had hidden under a nest in the nursery. The two were playing hide-and-seek. Raindance came in to check on her two remaining she-kits, misunderstanding when Phoenixkit said she was looking for Earthkit. No cats got hurt. Earthkit just got in trouble and was restricted to the nursery and it's mouth for a quarter of that moon.
Nothing much happened after that, and the two have remained close as they aged.
