|Out of Character Rules| - Treat others the way you would want to be treated. - Do not steal anyone’s work. This includes graphics, posts, characters, etc. We work hard to create the things we love, and we do not like seeing our precious work stolen. - One account per person please. - Always respond to Activity Checks or you will be deleted. - Use correct punctuation and grammar, even if you are speaking out of character. - Don’t swear more than the site allows ('damn' and 'hell' at worst). - Don’t bother, harass, or threaten another member. Any issues and disputes should be settled with staff involved. Failure to follow this rule may lead to banning. - Don’t advertise in the CBOX. - Respect everyone. Feel free to discuss religion, politics, etc, but keep it civil. Intolerance will absolutely not be not tolerated, even if it's not directed at someone on this website. - The Staff’s words are law (but we promise to be nice about it). - Be active. - Character bios can only be accepted by staff members. Note: Please leave anything regarding bios to the staff members. Even if you’re trying to be helpful, don’t post on other people’s bios. - Please, if in the title of a post says 'open', then anyone can post. If it says some member's username or a member's cat's name, it is private, and no other cat can join unless invited by the thread starter.
|In Character Rules|
- Use correct punctuation and grammar. This is an intermediate roleplaying site; everyone should be mature enough to know how to spell correctly.- IC posts must be 300 200 words minimum. - There is no such thing as a perfect person (human or feline). Therefore, don’t try to make a perfect character. Characters have flaws, be sure to give yours a few. Quirky characters are more fun and interesting anyway! - Liquid time is allowed to an extent (e.g. your thread from the dead of winter can carry on even if other threads have begun to move into springtime) - No Powerplaying - No Godmoding - You may only have up to four high positioned characters - Your cats' names must make sense. Your cat's name must consist of real words and they cannot be too long. A name must match the cat's appearance (within reason; we won't accept, say, a black cat named Firestorm without a very good explanation). Names that go against this rule must be changed. - We cannot not too many cats on the website with the same prefix in their names (or else we're liable to end up with, say, a dozen Silver-somethings). Check in the Taken Names and Reserved Names posts located in the Post Your Bio board before you make any characters. [EDIT: This rule is a bit obsolete, but may be reinstated as the staff see fit.] - Be sure to follow our bio format and meet the length-requirements, as proof of your ability to write at an intermediate level (and to follow the rules). - *We do have a character limit. Within your first two months here, you may create up to six cats. No exceptions. After two months here, you may add up to six more for a maximum total of twelve. **After you’ve been here six months, you may have up to twenty cats.
*We reserve the right to deny any member a new character if we feel that she/he cannot manage it, no matter how few she/he has at the time; we don't want cats being neglected.
**Additional cats may occasionally be permitted with admin permission for members who have spent over eighteen months actively roleplaying here, if they have proved themselves capable of handling large numbers of characters.
