Overview]
Borealis is a wild fox roleplay set in the fictional region of Navaria. Being part of a more uncommon genre of animal roleplay, we encourage and even promote players and their characters to be as unique as they yearn to be. While the beginning standard of this roleplay is to remain realistic (in the sense that there are no powers, wings, ghosts, etc), this may change later on as more lands are discovered and revealed by brave souls who venture forth.
Plot
Navaria was once a land abundant with wildlife. It always was a refuge of thriving and well being within the balance of nature. However illness caused by nearby livestock wiped out 70% of the foxes that once inhabited Navaria. Those that survived were forced to flee. Families were ripped apart, loved ones passed away and withered with the Illness, until none remained in the once plentiful landscape. When it was safe to return, the foxes banded together into Clans - the Delmares and the Avantegarde. Each blamed the other for brining the Illness into the clans, and so they formed separate territories, while Vagrants chose to remain loners.
To the foxes, the source of the Illness remains unknown, and the possibility of it returning is frightening likely...
