LET THE WAR BEGIN!!!
Littlestone pushed open the mall doors. He walked inside, checking the directory for the Food Court. The white and gray tom pushed the elevator button and waited. He walked into the elevator and pushed the 4th floor button. Littlestone entered the food court and walked up to the ice cream bar, they were having a special. Free ice cream all day. He picked up a small waffle cone and filled it with two scoops of his favorite ice cream; chocolate. Licking his ice cream, the white and gray tom walked back to the elevator and pressed the down button.

Across the food court and the ice cream stand, inside a hardware supply store, set up toward the edge of the store, was a building of some sort. Constructed out of wheel barrels, bricks, pieces of wood, and piping, a beautiful fort stood ready. A flag was raised high the strikingly awesome and familiar symbol of "MoonClan"
"Where is Lightningheart and Woodpelt?" Dragonstar grumbled, peeking out of the door which was currently being guarded by Tigerpaw and Jazzpaw. Doveflight's tail twitched in amusement.
"It's not like any war has started yet," she remarked, giving her face a quick rinse. Saphy's Key: MoonClan Cats NightClan Cats SunClan Cats

"I told you we were late!"
"Shut up and keep up!"
"I'm not as fast as you! No one is!"
"Of course not, but I'm not going that fast!"
Bickering all the while, the pair of young MoonClan warriors burst through the doors and raced over towards the hardware store. Lightningheart sprinted ahead as they drew closer and skidded to a halt beside the epic fort that bore the proud symbol of her Clan.
"We're heeeeeere!" she informed her Clanmates unnecessarily, grinning from ear to ear, amber eyes sparkling with excitement. Bouncing slightly on her feet, she glanced over her shoulder as Woodpelt rushed over, looking thoroughly flustered. "Well, now we are."
"I told her we'd be late," Woodpelt panted, fixing his anxious blue eyes on Dragonstar.
"We're armed, by the way," Lightningheart chirped, swinging a backpack off her shoulder and dropping it at her leader's feet. An assortment of small sport balls rolled out across the floor- golf balls, baseballs, countless tennis balls. "This is why we're late, see? Stopped to grab 'em. Won't they be handy?"
"Her idea," Woodpelt muttered, but the gray tabby just ignored him, still grinning at Dragonstar like a kit waiting desperately for approval.

"They're here, they're here!" Doveflight bounced up and down slightly at the sound of her two other friends making a mad dash toward them. Dragonstar Poked his head out the door, and he tried to mask an amused smile with a stern look. They were indeed late. He couldn't have them running around out there in the war zone. Well, soon-to-be war zone.
"Just make sure it isn't repeated." He said, giving Lightningheart a pointed look, but still going about the task of picking up all the different peices of ammo that she had brought and dumping them in a large bin. "Thank you," he added with a proud little flicker of a smile, referring to all the balls. "Tigerpaw, Jazzpaw," he called out loudly, causing the two apprentices outside to scramble in and stand before their leader.
"Yes Dragonstar?" Tigerpaw asked with excitement sparkling in his eyes.
"I need you two to stay inside and distribute ammo as it is needed, understood?" The two of them nodded and dashed off. "And Lightningheart, Woodpelt, Doveflight, I need you to-" His sentence was cut off as he looked around with a confused expression. "Where is Doveflight?"
"WATCH OUT YOU LAME DAYCLANNER!" Dragonstar looked up in surprise and hurried outside to see Doveflight with a large bucket filled with golf-balls, and at this current moment she was pelting them across the foodcourt onto poor Littlestone. Dragonstar groaned and covered his face with his hands.

Littlestone stepped out of the elevator and on to the 1st floor. He walked up to a nearby Radio Shack, still licking his ice cream. He stopped to stare at the assorted TVs in the window. "WATCH OUT YOU LAME DAYCLANNER!" Littlestone's ears twitched at the sudden noise, and looked up in time to see a bucket of golf balls come down at him from the 4th floor. "Oh shi- he began before the golf balls were upon him. Not even caring about his attackers, Littlestone immediately began to run. He stepped on a golf ball and fell to the floor, his ice cream sent flying in the air. He lunged forward and grabbed it before it hit the floor. The white and gray cat let out a sigh of relief, but was cut off as the rest of the golf balls decided to land on his head and spine.

"We won't be late again!" Lightningheart vowed, saluting her leader and straightening her shoulders proudly. As he thanked her for the ammunition, her eyes lit up with delight, and she opened her mouth to answer- but was distracted at that moment by a deafening shriek.
"Oh, StarClan," Woodpelt whimpered.
"WAIT UP!" Snatching up a slingshot and a handful of hard mint candies from the nearest counter, Lightningheart let out a fearful screech and pelted after her friend.
"What should I do?" Woodpelt asked meekly, glancing up at Dragonstar, wondering whether to pursue his friends or stay behind.
The smoky-gray she-cat, meanwhile, had rushed after Doveflight and quickly caught up. As she halted abruptly at the white warrior's side, her eyes widened gleefully as the little DayClan tom tumbled to the floor.
"Be right back," she announced, and took off again, nimbly dodging the golf balls scattered across the floor with her own typical agility and leaping straight over the older warrior. Crouching down to look him in the eye, she gave him a wicked grin and flashed out a hand to whip the ice cream cone out of his grasp.
"Thaaank you!" Straightening up with a playful, if mischievous, gleam in her golden eyes, she cackled, "Sucks to be you, dude!" and scrambled away, back towards Doveflight, in case he decided to retaliate.

Doveflight broke out into giggles of amusement as soon as she saw what her friend was up to. Making a mad dash, she took the opposite way that her friend had disappeared off to and skittered down the stairs onto the third floor and then the second floor in order to track down Lightningheart. Looking this way and that, she was just about to descend onto the first floor when she suddenly ran into something big. Well, more like someone. Looking up, she squeaked in surprise as two yellow haunting eyes stared down at her.
"Hello there little MoonClanner," Soul purred, grapsing a hold of Doveflight's arm and swiftly heading toward a furniture store. Doveflight tried to struggle, growling as the tall DeathClanner towered over her. They made their way into the store and all the way toward the back, where a large cage was located. Wait, cage? In a furniture store? What? Soul flung her inside, shutting the door and locking it with a key. "Now just stay in there, kay?" he said with a cheeky smile, before disappearing. Doveflight gulped. Oh boy.

Silkstream ran through the aisles like a maniac. Where was her Clan?! She always seemed to get lost in places like this. She skidded to a halt right before entering an unsheltered walkway. What floor was she on? Where was the elevator. Damn... She murmured under her breath. Silkstream ran quickly across the walkway. She let out a sigh of relief when she reached the other side unharmed. When was this thing supposed to start? Silkstream walked all the way to the end of the aisle toward the wall. If she followed the wall all the way around, she was sure to find an elevator...or maybe NightClan's hang out.
Silkstream picked up a package of markers and tore it open. She took out the red marker and squiggled an "X" on the wall. If she got back to the X then it was hopeless and she would die here. Silkstream ran along the wall for a few seconds before stopping abruptly. Trash cans! Silkstream picked up one of the metal lids and held it in front of her protectively. Awesome. Now she had a shield. Silkstream looked over both of her shoulders before continuing her sprint. She saw a metal door up ahead. Cool! Silkstream picked up her pace, not slowing down until she reached her destination. She vigorously pounded on the button to go down. Come on! Come on! come on! she panted. Bing! The elevator arrived at last. The doors opened sluggishly and Silkstream jumped in as soon as the doors opened wide enough. Silkstream pounded on the button for the doors to close. Clooooose! The doors sluggishly got closer, it seemed like every time she pushed a button the doors went slower. Finally the doors closed and Silkstream had to choose her floor. Uhhmmm....Erm. Which floor? Silkstream closed her eyes and pressed a random button. She opened her eyes again to find that she had pressed the "Doors Open" button. Her ears turned red with anger. NOOO! She pounded the "Floor 3" button before the doors opened again.
Sighing with relief, she surveyed her surroundings. A map of the mall, a large window- wait! A window! the whole wall was glass! Silkstream pressed her nose against the glass. She could see the whole first floor! The ceiling was well over a few hundred feet. Whoa... she breathed.

Glancing around, Soreth looked for the store he was trying to find. Realizing that it was on the level below him, he walked up to the nearest elevator, TOTALLY oblivious to all the surrounding commotion. Looking down at his grocery list, he noted that he needed both milk and some cheese. Sighing, he looked up as the elevator doors opened. Huh. Another cat. Grinning sheepishly, he got on and tried not to stare at the strange thing. She was sitting on the ground with a garbage can lid... Yeaaaa....
Pressing the button for the second floor, the doors closed and the elevator started up. Soreth was suddenly jolted to the ground as the Elevator shuddered to a stop and the lights flickered out. He stumbled and fell right into the lap of the strange other occupant of the elevator.

Littlestone lied there helplessly as the tabby warrior took from him the only thing he held dear. Weighed down by the golf balls, it was all he could do to watch the she-cat speed away with his ice cream. Narrowing his blue eyes, he stood up. The tom walked to Home Depot, avoiding any golf balls. He stood at the entrance, staring at the aisles of supplies. Perfect. Without hesitating, Littlestone grabbed 35 2 liter bottles, 17 buckets of Muratic Acid(buffering fluid), 70 12" pieces of aluminum foil, and a funnel. He carefully poured the acid into the bottles and placed them near the entrance of the store. Grabbing a pole, a Sharpie, and a 15 by 12 inch piece of cloth, he construct a flag that consisted of one word; Rache

Okay, they'd both been gone way too long. WAY too long. Figuring Dragonstar wouldn't want his daughter and former apprentice running around by themselves in a mall-turned-into-a-battlefield, Woodpelt gave his leader a half-guilty look, seized shovel, and rushed out into the danger zone.
Now, he wondered as he ducked raced through the mall and around corners, where have the two of them run off to? Wherever the most action was, he was sure. Or, knowing the two as he did, maybe they'd done something totally contrary and run off somewhere else...
Struck by sudden information, Woodpelt made a sharp U-turn and sprinted up the nearest flight of stairs. The higher he was, the more he'd be able to see, he reasoned. Ah, there, the fourth floor ought to be high enough.
Anxious to locate his friends, he hurried over to the railing of the fourth floor landing- a little too quickly.
With a yelp of panic, the young warrior crashed into the railing and, propelled by the force of the collision, tumbled straight over ithe edge. One of his flailing hands managed to grasp the rail as he fell and, with a little gasp, he realized with horror just how high up he'd managed to come.
"Lightningheart!" he shrieked, calling for the first cat to come to his mind. "Doveflight! Dragonstar! Somebody who doesn't want to kill me! HELP!"
Then his dark blue eyes widened in sheer terror as his fingers started to slip on the metal rail.
I'm dead!

Silkstream coward in the corner with her back to the glass wall. This wasn't floor 3. The doors opened slowly and there stood a strange cat that she had never seen before. Silkstream pushed farther into the glass wall. What clan was this cat from? Would he attack her with ketchup or something? The cat in question seemed to think that she was a freak for hiding behind a garbage can lid...then again she didn't blame her. He pushed his floor button and Silkstream straightened out a bit. Suddenly the lights shut off the elevator jerked to a stop. Mreoaww! A sound of surprise left Silkstream's mouth as the cat flew into her lap. Only the dim light from the the glass wall entered and it took a while to adjust her eyes to the weaker light.

Soundstar let out a shout of joy as he steered the little motor car around the corner and right toward a large pyramid of bounce balls. His smile twisted into a frown as he crashed into the pile and balls went everywhere. Laughter echoed through the toy store as Soundstar lay there giggling like a maniac. Deciding to go play with Lego next, the SunClan leader got up but was suddenly distracted by a loud call. Perking his ears, he sprung toward the sound, stumbling out of the store.
"You need help there little guy?" he asked, propping his elbows up on the side of the railing as he watched Woodpelt struggle to hold on. It looked fun actually. Wait. He should probably help. Panic flashed on his face as the tom slid further, and suddenly his strong muscles flexed as tan arms pulled the teenager up from certain death. "How about you don't try to kill yourself next time?" A cheery laugh broke through his sarcastic words, and a slapped a hand lightly on Woodpelt's back. "What clan are you from anyways?"
Soreth spluttered slightly in emberassment, quckly getting up onto shaky feet.
"Oh my StarClan I'm so sorry miss!" He reached down to help her up to her feet.

Help?
Did he need help?
Had Woodpelt not been so occupied with trying not to black out in fear -might as well be unconcious when he hit the ground and died, right?- he might have laughed incredulously. Or perhaps, had he not been in such desperate need of rescuing, he would have shot back a sarcastic 'no, thanks, I'm just admiring the view from here'. But as it happened, his fingers were slowly but steadily losing their grip on the metal and despite the fact that a potential rescuer was staning just above him, all he could think was 'STARCLAN HELP ME!'.
Then he found himself being hauled back onto solid ground and gave a faint squeak of surprise, stumbling and grabbing wildly at the rail before regaining his balance. Panting and shaking, he raised his wide blue eyes to the tall man.
"Thank you," he managed, before all the breath was knocked out of him, despite how light the thump on his back was. He coughed, then forced himself to stand up straighter and look the man in the eye. Cautiously and respectfully, but in the eye nonetheless. Then shock and dismay spread across his face.
"Soundstar!" he yelped, alarm flashing in his eyes despite the Clan leader's apparent friendliness. "I- um... oh. StarClan."
Great. Just great. He'd just been rescued by the infamous young SunClan leader. He was never going to live this one down.
But he'd mind his manners nonetheless.
"MoonClan," he replied, restoring some measure of dignity with the word and managing to look the man in the face again. "I.. um... I-I'm Woodpelt. Thank you for your help. We're very grateful, sir."
And with that, nervousness overcame dignity and he dropped his gaze to the floor, shifting his feet awkwardly and daring to glance up again only when he'd spent a few moments working up the nerve.

Littlestone sat there, waiting. He held a blue dry erase marker in his hand, and was drawing a battle plan on a directory. His ears twitched at a sudden cry. The tom turned and looked outside to see another tabby, Moonclan by the smell, hanging from the 4th floor. He smiled and watched, amused at the sight. He frowned as another cat came to save him. Littlestone squinted his blue eyes to get a good look at the new cat. Soundstar. Wait, wasn't that other warrior Sunclan? Why would he help a Moonclan cat? It doesn't concern me. Then he remembered. The she-cat was Moonclan. He hurried to the elevator, hoping he wasn't too late. He hit the button, but nothing happened. Broken. Growling in frustration, he ran to the stairs.
